Throwback Thursday: Studio Ghibli Quotes

Here is a throwback Thursday to get ready for the weekend.

I love these movies. It’s something about the beauty of it all, watching tales of being whisked away to a place of spirits and wonder, of dreams being realized, and of castles in the sky that make my heart soar. Let’s get to my favorite three Ghibli movies and some quotes that really inspire me. Let’s be honest, I have no favorites.

Facing Fears

Here is a video to brighten up your day. 🙂

In life, there is always a bit of fear holding people back from what they want to do. One of the best things to keep in mind is that while everyone makes mistakes, there is always room to grow. You potential is limitless.

A Werewolf Boy: Inspirational Review

It has been a while. These last few weeks have brought about a whirlwind of change. But the best part of it is that now I am on the journey to finding out where I will live my life.

After traveling to New York City for a bit, I returned to my university and re-watched a movie that invoked a question worth asking: What are you willing to wait for?

Movie Inspiration: Begin Again

Hey Readers!

If you haven’t seen this little gem of a movie yet, then you really really should. I watched it (and re-watched it) a few days ago. If you like anything related to music with a bit of comedy and drama mixed in, this this movie is for you.

And if you love anything to do with Adam Levine, this movie is also for you.

For me it was a pleasant surprise. I wasn’t expecting much but a nice movie with songs thrown in for good measure. But it turned out to be a great tale of triumph through perseverance and doing something different than the norm.

When inspired me most about the movie is that the main characters (played by Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo) find something they have been missing by the end of the movie.

Try watching it and see if you like it! If you love it, let me know.

Kaci

Side Note: I’ve been playing and singing ‘Lost Stars’ constantly for the past week. I’m such a sucker for musical movies. Maybe I should give glee another try…

Movie Inspiration: Divergent

Here I am again with another movie inspiration!

I know that I am late on the Divergent train but I read the book and watched the movie and it is just…

Amazing.

I spent an entire night reading it and wow, it’s great. The movie doesn’t cover everything that happens in the book but it is great too.

What I love about it is that there is that it is more than just a teen book, it is a story with a deep meaning and characters that just stick to you like glue. I love the message about not conforming in a society that aims to but your identity into a small box. I’m already past the teen crowd and into my early twenties, but if the series helped anyone feel confident about being different, then that would be awesome.

So if you haven’t seen it yet, then I urge you to. And if I was able to magically send my kindle copies to you guys I would. Here’s my little nugget for today:

It’s okay to be who you are.

Take that in and breathe.

Live Awesome and Prosper,

Kaci

Side note: Am I the only one who despised Peter in the book but actually liked him a bit in the movie? I blame Miles Teller.
